The benefits of perennial plants, which now include dwarf shrubs, small trees
and ornamental grasses, continues to grow (no pun intended) at a fast pace and
each new season brings new introductions to the home gardener.

Other advantages are the four seasons of garden use and of course cut flowers
for the home.


Echinacea Flame Thrower
Bicolour orange and yellow petals surrounding a large rusty-brown button-shaped cone. Well-branched, strong and bushy. Fragrant blooms are attractive to butterflies.


Echinacea Hot Papaya
A double-flowered coneflower. Drooping ray petals of spicy-orange that develops papaya tones as the flowers age. Excellent for cutting.
Long blooming.

Heuchera Caramel

Scalloped leaves emerge gold in the Spring, Deepening to amber and peach. Sprays of light-pink flowers appear in mid-summer.



Heuchera Midnight Rose
A great choice for adding a touch of colour at the front of the border. The lobed leaves are nearly black, heavily spotted in hot pink
 

Ligularia Café Noir
Dwarf ligularia. A bold-leaved specimen that needs a moist location.
Jagged-edged leaves change colours as the season progresses.
Golden-yellow flowers.


 

Miscanthus Graziella
A graceful upright mound of narrow green leaves. Soft silvery-white plumes in late Summer and remaining attractive for months.

Miscanthus Gold Bar
A terrific dwarf selection of Porcupine Grass. Perfect for the smaller garden. Green leaves banded with golden-yellow bars. Burgundy-red flowers in Autumn.
 

Sedum Bertram Anderson
An excellent ground cover plant, particularly for hot, dry sites with poor soil. Burgundy-black leaves with purple-red star flowers in summer..
 

Panicum Blood Brothers
A Canadian introduction. This Switch Grass develops outstanding foliage colour. Green-blue leaves with the tips turning blood-red as the season progresses.

Geum Blazing Sunset

A flash of hot colour for the early summer border. This selection has fully double tangerine-red blooms. Evergreen foliage. Height 20 inches. Full sun.
 

Omphalodes Starry Eyes

Low mounds of deep green leaves which are useful among shrubs or evergreens. Sky blue and white flowers. Easy care. Height 6 - 8 inches. Part to full shade.
 

Caryopteris Dark Knight

One of the best things you can do for your garden to have late summer bloom. Gorgeous and popular in our gardens. Extremely attractive to butterflies.
